Siwan The story

The Third Milestone in Our Journey of Change

In 2008, inspired by the success of its first two centres, Shiksha Prayas expanded to Siwan with the support of Sunisha and Virendra Raheja—two dedicated community members eager to uplift local children. With the instrumental help of volunteer Ritu Srivastava, the team connected with nearby government schools, resulting in a significant rise in student enrolment. From the very beginning, the Siwan Centre grew as a symbol of hope, learning, and community-driven effort.

About siwan centre

Siwan Centre: A Home of Hope and Hard Work

At Siwan, core subject classes initially began for students in Grades 6 to 8, led by Sunisha, Virendra, and associate Naresh, later expanding to higher grades as students advanced. A defining characteristic of the centre is the strong personal bond between teachers and students, with many early graduates now returning as volunteers to mentor younger learners. The Siwan Centre also nurtures creativity by celebrating festivals and building confidence through activities. Its commitment to empowerment shines through in the many first-generation achievers who have gone on to pursue successful careers across diverse fields.
